Refund Policy

Information about refunds for purchases made on our website

At Traditional Omani Recipes, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchases. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which we offer refunds for products and services purchased through our website. By making a purchase on our website, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.

1. Digital Products

1.1 E-Books and Recipe Collections

We offer refunds for our e-books and digital recipe collections within 14 days of purchase under the following conditions:

  • You have not downloaded or accessed the digital content
  • If you have downloaded or accessed the content, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis if there are technical issues that prevent you from properly viewing or using the content

1.2 Online Cooking Classes

For our online cooking classes, we offer the following refund options:

  • Full refund if canceled at least 7 days before the scheduled class
  • 50% refund if canceled between 3-7 days before the scheduled class
  • No refund for cancellations less than 72 hours before the scheduled class

If you are unable to attend a class, you may transfer your registration to another person or apply your payment to a future class (subject to availability) if you notify us at least 24 hours in advance.

2. Physical Products

2.1 Cookbooks and Merchandise

For physical products such as printed cookbooks, cooking utensils, and other merchandise, we offer refunds under the following conditions:

  • The return is initiated within 30 days of delivery
  • The product is in its original condition, unused, and with all original packaging and tags
  • You provide proof of purchase

Please note that shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer unless the product was damaged during shipping or we sent an incorrect item.

2.2 Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us within 7 days of receipt with photos of the damage and your order information. We will arrange for a replacement or full refund, including shipping costs for the return.

2.3 Incorrect Items

If you receive an item different from what you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of receipt. We will arrange for the correct item to be sent to you and cover the return shipping costs for the incorrect item.

3. Subscriptions and Memberships

3.1 Newsletter Subscriptions

Our free newsletter subscription can be canceled at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any newsletter email or by contacting us at [email protected].

3.2 Premium Memberships

For our premium membership subscriptions:

  • Monthly subscriptions: You may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for the remaining days in the current billing period.
  • Annual subscriptions: If you cancel within the first 14 days of your subscription, you are eligible for a full refund. After 14 days, we offer prorated refunds for the remaining unused months, less a £10 administrative fee.

4. Refund Process

4.1 How to Request a Refund

  2. Include your order number, purchase date, and the product(s) for which you are requesting a refund
  3. Explain the reason for your refund request
  4. For physical products, include photos if relevant (e.g., for damaged items)

4.2 Refund Processing Time

Once your refund request is approved:

  • Digital product refunds are typically processed within 3-5 business days
  • Physical product refunds are processed within 10-14 business days after we receive the returned item
  • The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment method and financial institution, usually 5-10 business days

5. Return Shipping Guidelines

For physical products that need to be returned:

  • Pack the item securely in its original packaging if possible
  • Include your order number and return reason inside the package

  • We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for valuable items

Please note that we cannot accept returns of perishable food items or ingredients for health and safety reasons.

6.1 Non-Refundable Items

The following items are not eligible for refunds:

  • Gift cards (except where required by applicable law)
  • Downloadable content that has been accessed or downloaded
  • Perishable goods such as food ingredients
  • Personalized or custom-made items
  • Items marked as final sale or clearance

6.2 Promotional Items and Discounts

6.3 Excessive Returns
